Easy Louise Band Member Biographies

EASY LOUISE was formed in 1986 and quickly became a popular Chicago area country band. Even though the band is catagorized as "country", they always try to appeal to a broad audience blending rock, southern rock, blues and oldies into their repertoire. Easy Louise has had a long standing relationships with many fans and clients, proving that they continue to provide outstanding entertainment. Easy Louise band members currently boast nearly 100 combined years of professional experience in the music business.


Mark "Skeeter" Baker:  Lead & Background Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica — Skeeter has been performing in front of crowds since the age of 13. He has been performing professionally for over three decades in a variety of rock and country bands and duos. His versatile voice can cover a wide range of musical genres from growling blues to crooning ballads and even the occasional yodel. Skeeter worked toward a minor in music while in college and studied classical voice for three semesters. In addition to handling lead and harmony vocals, Skeeter plays acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and harmonica.

"TV" Tom Powers:  Drums, Lead & Background Vocals, Banter, Tom Foolery — Tom has 23 years’ experience ranging from country to rock to blues. The "Human Metronome" as he has been called, handles lead vocals in nearly half of the songs and usually does harmony in the others. He was raised in an Irish family and get togethers always included singing. He has performed with Easy Louise for most of its existence. His musical influences include Bing Crosby, Boston, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, etc. etc. He was also the singing half of the "Durango Duo" a smaller "sing along around the campfire" type of act.

Al "Buck" Salecker:   Lead Guitar, Pedal Steel Guitar — Buck started playing guitar at the age of 10 and 40 years later he is still going strong. Taking a lead, he gets his whole mind, body, and soul into it and it really shows Buck loves everything from rock to country to blues. His musical influences include Buck Owens, Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Emmons, just to name a few. Buck has shared the stage with such acts as David Allen Coe, 38 Special, Little Texas and The Buckinghams.

Dennis "DJ" Myers:   Bass Guitar, Lead & Background Vocals, more Banter — As a twenty year vet of country and southern rock bands, DJ locks the rhythm section down with bass playing influenced by artists from Paul McCartney to Kenny Rogers. Adding lead and background vocals, DJ rounds out the "Easy Louise Sound" DJ had been able to share the stage with such artists as, Toby Keith, Confederate Rail Road, Gary Allen, Chris Cagle, Trace Adkins & Charlie Daniels Just to name a few.
